BLOG #3: THE WAY I GROW UP

When I was high school, I was a obedient girl in my parents's eyes, I always listened to them and do whatever they want; moreover, I was not gonna do that things if they didn't like it. I tried to study hard and harder to get good marks in every subjects because I didn't want to make my parents feel disappointed because of me.

In one day, my classmates planed to have a 1-night trip together, and I was very excited, but I was sure that my parents didn't allow me to go because it was pretty far from my city. However, I wanted to go so bad, and I try to persuaded them one time, the result was "NO!". I was really mad and I decided to go anyway. I put my clothes in the bag and told them I went to my best friend's house to do homeworks. Unfortunately, my parents found out that I was going on the trip in somehow, and they called me to let me know. I think maybe they had a call to my friends's mom for asking or something. My parents requested for a conversation after I got home; thus, I was terrified. When I got home, we started to talk about what we feel. I tried to express my feeling of being control and say that i'm not a kid anymore, they have to believe me. After discussing for 1 hour, we knew each other, and my parents decided to let me do what I want, they decided to believe me. I am really thankful for that.

In Vietnam, our parents are still being affected by the strictly thought that children must listen to everything parents say although they don't want to do it. Parents always control children's life in every aspects. Kids must have their own thinking and decision. I tried to explain that I was not going to do something stupid and luckily they believed me. From that time, I could be myself,  I can make decision by myself , and I tried my best to follow it.

Right now, my parents are very proud of me because of what I did for them and I am thankful for their trust to me.

BLOG #2

"Stars are not seen by sunshine"

I'm interested in this proverb because it's easy to understand in a particular way haha. Stars are beautiful, and people can easily see them in the sky. However, there are some conditions if you want to enjoy - wait for the night. In the morning, stars are still there but you can't see it, just like in real life, there are something happen but you can't know it clearly if you don't try to find out the reason, so do not judge easily things that you do not understand.

The lesson that we get behind this sentence is "Whatever you do, good or bad, people will always have something negative to say about you and your life. We were born to be real, not to be perfect. You don't need to hear what someone judge you or what they want you to be". That's it, and I see that it's very suitable for me.

In Vietnam, I was an outgoing person, it was easy for me to talk with someone that I never talk to, but other people didn't like it, they thought I pretended to be friendly or something bad that I didn't understand why they had that though. Then I realized, however, I did't need to know what people think about me, I was proud of myself, it was great to be me and now I had friends who are very nice and kind.

In conclusions, I just want to say, don't judge and evaluate someone or something if you don't know all the story. Oh I think in Vietnam, there are some sentences talk about this case but now I haven't remembered it yet, so let me remind it late :))

p/s: there are some good proverb but I don't get it clearly, I'm looking forward to someone can explain it clearly haha.

Blog #1: WHO AM I ?

Hi everyone,

I'm Chloe, and my Vietnamese name is Ngoc Pham. I lived in Vietnam for 22 years; I and my family decided to move to the US to start a new life 4 months ago. It was a hard decision but we made a choice. However, I really enjoy my new life right now. I think I adapt to the new environment so well, and I have a lot of thing to do to catch up with everyone. I gotta do my best that can be succeed in the USA.

I love taking photograph and editing it, but I mostly use my phone to take photos because it's easy to use and post it online. In addition, I'm gonna take a picture whenever I see a beautiful view. Posing a nice picture on the internet is one of the most favorite hobbies. In my free time, I'd like to meet my friends, have a meal, go for a walk and talk about everything in the world because I love making friends. Since I moved here, however, the big challenge for me is language. I hope I can improve my English as soon as possible so that I can have more confidence to make friends and do eveything.

Here are my recent picture, I randomly took it on the way to school.
